SCOTTISH BREEZE

At the fifth anniversary celebration of the Keepers of the Quaich Society, Scottish culture was experienced in all its aspects. The evening, which began with a bagpipe performance, also featured the Quaich ceremony, symbolizing friendship. The Scotland-based Keepers of the Quaich Society hosted a magnificent night at Pera Palace, celebrating the fifth anniversary of its Turkey Chapter and offering guests an evening filled with Scottish flair. The event organized by the Keepers of the Quaich Society was attended by names from the business and social circles. The CEOs and keepers of Pernod Ricard Turkey, Diageo Turkey, Anadolu Efes/William Grant & Sons, Brown-Forman Turkey, and Edrington, which contributed to the evening, performed the Quaich ceremony, symbolizing friendship. The opening speech was delivered by Selçuk Tümay, Chairman of the Turkey Board of Directors. On this night, dominated by Scottish touches, guests experienced special moments with the traditional celebration ceremony. The event, which started with a bagpipe performance — Scotland’s national instrument — featured beloved Turkish pop singer Ayşegül Aldinç, who offered guests an enjoyable time. In this society, where membership is granted only by invitation to those who have served in the Scottish beverage industry for at least seven years, individuals who have served for ten years can earn the title of "Master." Selçuk Tümay, CEO of Pernod Ricard Africa, Middle East, and Turkey, who is the first and only Turk to hold the "Master" title, launched the Turkey Chapter journey of the "Keepers of the Quaich" back in 2010.
